New Glarus High School student Cassie Schultz earned a High Silver Medal at the Wisconsin Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference in Wisconsin Dells, according to a press release from the School District of New Glarus. Schultz competed in the Culinary Foundations Test Level 2 event and also served as the New Glarus chapter’s voting delegate.

The district said Schultz’s result reflected strong culinary knowledge, preparation and commitment to Family and Consumer Sciences education. In her delegate role, she helped vote on bylaw changes and took part in selecting the new State Leadership Council for Wisconsin FCCLA.
