Photo of the Week

Each week we’ll feature a single image that captures a moment in and around New Glarus. This week’s photo is by Elizabeth Bainbridge. It is a group photo that shows project partners and community leaders gathered inside the unfinished library, capturing a quiet milestone as those who helped bring the project forward stood together in the space they helped create.

Editor’s Note
Soon we’re also launching a new Thursday email called The Weekender, focused on what’s happening in the greater New Glarus area each weekend. We’re inviting businesses, nonprofits, churches, clubs and community groups to submit events, dinner specials and happenings. There is no cost to be included. If it’s something the public can attend or enjoy, we want to know about it.
You can submit events here:
https://www.newglarus360.com/submit-an-event/
The New Glarus 360 website launch has been going very well. Readership continues to grow, and we’re seeing strong engagement from across the community. That only happens when people read, share and send us tips, so thank you.
One Thing Worth Noticing
Architecturally, the new library is turning into something special. The lines, materials and natural light are creating visually striking photos. It’s the kind of building that quietly says something about a community’s priorities. Kudos to the design team and special praise to the library staff for doing such a good job for sharing photos and updates on social media with updates.
