Emergency crews shut down County Highway J north of Wisconsin 39 early Wednesday after responding to a one-vehicle crash in which the driver was initially reported slumped over the wheel and unresponsive. Dispatch traffic indicated the vehicle had gone off the road and into a ditch or field near the intersection before the location was clarified as just north of Highway 39 on County J.

The reporting party told dispatch the driver was not coherent and that the vehicle door was locked when she approached. Fire, first responders and EMS were then sent to the scene.
