Darlington Invitational Sees Strong Night for Glarner Knights
The New Glarus Glarner Knights turned in a strong showing Monday at the Redbird Invitational in Darlington, highlighted by relay victories, sprint success and more big throws from Brent Weeden.
DARLINGTON, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights boys track and field team finished second overall and the girls team placed fifth Monday night at the Redbird Invitational in Darlington, continuing a strong spring season against a deep field of southwest Wisconsin programs.
The Glarner Knights boys compiled 67.5 points to finish runner-up in the team standings behind Cassville/Potosi, while the New Glarus girls scored 60 points for fifth place overall.
New Glarus was powered by several standout performances on both the track and in the field events.
