Ethan Colstad kept New Glarus in control for much of Saturday’s home matchup, but Dodgeville broke through late to claim a 3-1 victory in a tense nonconference baseball battle.
New Glarus nearly rode another strong pitching performance to victory Saturday afternoon before Dodgeville scratched across three late runs to escape with a 3-1 win over the Glarner Knights in a tightly played pitchers duel.
The Knights carried a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning and looked poised to close out a gritty home victory behind starter Ethan Colstad, who delivered one of his strongest outings of the season against a disciplined Dodgeville lineup.
