Glarner Knights Fall After Cambridge’s Six-Run Fifth
New Glarus built three early leads Friday, but Cambridge used a big fifth inning to rally past the Glarner Knights in varsity baseball.
CAMBRIDGE, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights fell to Cambridge 9-6 on Friday after Cambridge broke open a close game with six runs in the fifth inning.
New Glarus struck first in the opening inning when Landon Stelter singled to bring in a run. Cambridge answered in the bottom half when Evan Harbort homered to center field, tying the game at 1-1.
The Glarner Knights moved back in front in the second inning, taking advantage of two Cambridge errors to build a 3-1 lead.
