The New Glarus Glarner Knights varsity golf team faced a demanding two-day stretch this week, taking on a new course, a tough conference field and a spirited rivalry match against Monroe.

New Glarus placed seventh out of nine teams Tuesday in the fifth Capitol Conference meet of the season in Waupun, finishing with a team score of 193.
