Free public training in Monroe will teach severe weather awareness and how residents can assist the National Weather Service as trained storm spotters.

Green County to Host Storm Spotter Training

Green County Emergency Management will host a free Storm Spotter Training session Tuesday, April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Green County Justice Center, 2841 6th St., Monroe.

The training, sponsored by Green County Emergency Management in partnership with the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is open to the public and does not require pre-registration.
