How to Submit a News Tip

Whether you witnessed breaking news, know about an upcoming event or have an idea worth investigating, New Glarus 360 welcomes tips from readers. Here is what to include, where to send it and when to call the newsroom directly first.

How to Submit a News Tip

Have something the New Glarus community should write about? Have a story idea? New Glarus 360 welcomes news tips about local government, schools, businesses, organizations, events, public safety, sports and the people who make our community interesting.

You do not need to write an article or have every detail before contacting us. A brief message explaining what happened—or what is expected to happen—is enough to get the process started.

What to Include with Your Tip

When possible, provide the names of the people or organizations involved, the location, relevant dates and times, and an explanation of why the information matters to the community.

Please include your name and contact information so New Glarus 360 can reach you with follow-up questions. If you have photographs, documents, flyers, news releases or links that help explain or verify the information, include those as well.

If your information is sensitive or you do not want your name published, explain that when contacting us. A request for confidentiality should be discussed before sharing information you consider private or off the record.
