Man Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Green County Ambulance
A 43-year-old Michigan man was arrested early Sunday after authorities say he drove off in a Green County EMS ambulance near Monroe and led deputies on an 11.5-mile pursuit before being taken into custody.

A Michigan man was arrested early Sunday morning after authorities say he stole an ambulance in Green County and led law enforcement on a pursuit from near Monroe to the Town of Spring Grove.
According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at 2:33 a.m. Sunday, April 12, for a welfare check involving a man sitting alongside Wisconsin 11 west of County KK in the Town of Monroe, about a half-mile east of the City of Monroe. Deputies made contact with the man, later identified as Shannon A. Szukala, 43, of Middleville, Michigan, and learned he was requesting an ambulance for an injury.
