The Monticello-New Glarus Ponies showed resilience and patience Thursday night, rallying from an early deficit to defeat Potosi-Cassville 7-5 in a Six Rivers Conference matchup played under cool, cloudy conditions.
Trailing 5-0 after three innings, the Ponies regrouped and chipped away, scoring three runs in the fourth before erupting for four more in the sixth to complete the comeback. The win was fueled by a balanced offensive attack and steady pitching that kept Potosi-Cassville from adding on after its big inning.
