On a picture-perfect Monday evening at Glarner Park, the Monticello-New Glarus Ponies varsity girls softball team put together one of their most complete performances of the season, rolling past Pecatonica 16-3.

With the sun settling behind the outfield fence and a light breeze drifting through downtown New Glarus, the Ponies wasted little time turning the game in their favor, erupting for eight runs in the bottom of the first inning.
