New Glarus Bike Bus Rolls into Summer
More than two dozen young riders and a team of volunteers pedaled from Village Park to the new New Glarus Primary School, creating what many hope becomes a lasting end-of-school tradition.
On a cool Friday morning, a colorful procession of bicycles rolled out of New Glarus Village Park and headed toward the new New Glarus Primary School, marking the inaugural New Glarus Bike Bus.
Around 25 students, ranging from 4K through second grade, joined approximately seven volunteers for the ride. Together, they followed the Highway 69 trail, turning an ordinary trip to school into a celebration of community, independence, and the approaching start of summer vacation.
