New Glarus Board Formally Adopts Changes to Festival Alcohol Rules

The New Glarus Village Board spent much of its Wednesday, May 6, meeting discussing how public alcohol consumption and open containers should be handled during previously approved village festivals and events.

The discussion came after the board repealed a prior alcohol ordinance at its April 15 meeting and asked staff to keep working on a solution that would fit state law while allowing New Glarus festivals to continue operating in a familiar way.
