New Glarus Board to Review 11th Avenue Project
The Village Board will meet Wednesday to review proposed 11th Avenue assessments, revisit festival alcohol rules and discuss transportation funding, the Floral Clock and other local government business.
The New Glarus Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Village Hall to review several items tied to streets, festivals and community landmarks.
The meeting agenda includes a proposed special assessments report for the 11th Avenue reconstruction project, which began construction today, a follow-up discussion on public alcohol consumption during previously approved 2026 festivals and events, and a transportation funding resolution supported by the League of Wisconsin Municipalities.
The 11th Avenue item may draw the most attention. The proposed special assessments report was prepared by village engineer Pat Current of Strand Associates and is considered preliminary, according to the meeting packet. A final report is expected to come back to the board after the work is completed and measurements can be verified.
