New Glarus Community Complex Construction Takes Shape
Construction crews have moved from site preparation to building as the foundation for the new concession and restroom facility cures and pavilion supports rise, marking visible progress on the next phase of the Glarner Community Complex in New Glarus.
With site preparation complete and major concrete work now in place, construction is visibly advancing on the next phase of the Glarner Community Complex as New Glarus moves closer to adding new amenities for athletics and community events.
Visitors to the site across from New Glarus High School can now see the newly poured foundation for the future concession and restroom building, which is currently curing, along with the first structural pillars that will support the Swiss-inspired pavilion. The construction site has been scrubbed and cleared, marking a significant milestone as work transitions from site preparation to vertical construction.
The latest progress follows months of planning and fundraising for Phase 2 of the Glarner Community Complex. Earlier this spring, rain delayed the start of construction, but school officials remained confident the project could still be completed in time to serve fall football and soccer activities.
