New Glarus Golf Team Finishes 10th at Green County Open

New Glarus placed 10th Saturday at the Green County Open, with Kellen Martinson leading the Glarner Knights with an 85 and Isaac Ingwell and Kofi Belknap close behind with matching rounds of 86.

The New Glarus Glarner Knights boys golf team competed against a deep field Saturday at the 8th Annual Green County Open, finishing 10th overall with a team score of 348.

Monona Grove won the event with a score of 314, followed by Cuba City/Benton/Southwestern at 320 and Sun Prairie West at 323. New Glarus finished ahead of Delavan-Darien, Big Foot, Brodhead and Monticello/Belleville in the 15-team field.

New Glarus was paced by sophomore Kellen Martinson, who carded an 85 to tie for 28th place individually. Senior Isaac Ingwell and junior Kofi Belknap each shot 86 to tie for 30th overall.
