New Glarus Post Office Hardware Failure Disrupts Service

The New Glarus Post Office was still unable to process register transactions as of Tuesday after a point-of-sale equipment failure first disrupted service Saturday and forced the desk to close early. Customers could still pick up or drop off packages, but only without a receipt.

According to information shared by the New Glarus Post Office on the New Glarus 360 Facebook page, the issue began Saturday when the office reported it could not complete any type of transaction because of equipment failure. The office, which is usually open until 11 a.m. on Saturdays, was forced to shut down the front desk early that day.
