New Glarus School Board Approves Staffing, Handbooks
The New Glarus School Board approved 2026-27 staffing documents, school handbooks and a girls soccer co-op renewal Monday, while also hearing an update on academic progress and youth apprenticeship growth.
The New Glarus School Board approved a series of staffing and handbook items Monday night after hearing a detailed high school report that highlighted improved academic performance, growing student interest in youth apprenticeship and continued expansion of college and career readiness efforts.
Among the board’s key actions were approval of a 0.2 FTE reduction tied to the youth apprenticeship position, 2026-27 teacher contracts, support staff letters of assignment, exempt staff assignments, all three student handbooks and a two-year renewal of the girls soccer co-op.
