New Glarus High School students have earned statewide recognition for original recipes submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s Whipping Up Wellness Cookbook and Competition.

Students in Ryan Lehman’s Family, Food and Society class submitted nine recipes earlier this spring. Of more than 60 recipes submitted from schools across Wisconsin, four New Glarus student teams were selected for the 2026 Whipping Up Wellness Cookbook.

The selected recipes were Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti, Chicken Fried Rice, Creamy Tomato Pasta and Ricotta Rigatoni Pasta.
