New Glarus Track Makes Its Mark at Conference
In its first season back as a standalone program, New Glarus posted top-five team finishes and several conference-title performances at Waupun.
WAUPUN, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights delivered a strong showing Tuesday at the Capitol Conference Championship, with the girls team placing fourth and the boys team finishing fifth at Waupun High School.
It was a fitting conference-stage performance for a program competing under its own New Glarus banner again for the first time in decades.
The New Glarus girls scored 81 points to finish fourth behind Lakeside Lutheran, Lodi and Columbus. The New Glarus boys scored 68 points, placing fifth in a 12-team field.
