BRODHEAD, Wis. — The 46th annual Green County Breakfast on the Farm brought large crowds, sunny skies and the familiar sounds of the start of summer to Pinnacle Dairy near Brodhead on Saturday.
The event, organized by the Green County Ag Chest, again served as one of Green County’s largest annual celebrations of local agriculture, drawing visitors for breakfast, music, farm tours, education stations and a chance to see a large working dairy operation up close.
With no on-site parking at the farm, shuttle buses carried visitors from Monroe, Albany, Monticello and Juda throughout the morning.
The menu included scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, homemade coffee cake, milk, coffee, orange juice and strawberry ice cream sundaes. Volunteers kept the serving lines moving as families, neighbors and visitors gathered under tents and across the farm grounds.
