Ponies Roll Past River Ridge, 8-1
Monticello-New Glarus backed a complete-game gem from H. Olson with 11 hits and steady defense Friday, cruising past River Ridge, 8-1, while committing no errors in a sharp Six Rivers softball win.
Monticello-New Glarus gave its home crowd plenty to cheer about Friday, as the Ponies handled River Ridge 8-1 behind strong pitching, steady defense and an 11-hit attack.
The Ponies scored in five of their six offensive innings, building a 4-0 lead by the fourth and finishing the night with three runs in the sixth to put the game firmly away. River Ridge managed just three hits, while Monticello-New Glarus played clean softball with no errors.
