Power Line Rebuild Will Bring Major Grid Upgrades Through New Glarus
A major electric transmission rebuild is coming to Green County, and it will run straight through the New Glarus area. American Transmission Company (ATC) has confirmed that it will rebuild a 27-mile stretch of aging 69-kilovolt power line between Monroe and Verona, which ATC identifies as Y-42, replacing infrastructure that dates back nearly three-quarters of a century.
