Village officials, local leaders, and federal representatives gathered in New Glarus to celebrate the completion of a long-awaited water reservoir and tower project designed to boost capacity, fire protection, and future growth.

Under crisp autumn skies Friday morning, community leaders gathered to celebrate the completion of New Glarus’ long-awaited second water reservoir and tower—an infrastructure project decades in the making.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the reservoir site off County Highway W, followed by refreshments at the New Glarus Village Hall. Attendees included members of the New Glarus Village Board, Village President Roger Truttmann, Village Administrator Kelsey Jenson, Utility Manager Bill Kosmeder, former Village Administrator Lauren Freeman and representatives of U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and Congressman Mark Pocan who played key roles in securing federal funding for the project.
