New Glarus High School seniors were recognized Wednesday night during Senior Awards Night, an annual celebration of student achievement, scholarships and community support.

This year, more than $101,000 was distributed to students, marking a significant investment in the future of the Class of 2026.

“It is a true testament to the New Glarus and surrounding communities who support our students,” said Kali Montgomery, high school counselor for the New Glarus School District.

The evening highlighted the work students have put in throughout their high school years, while also reflecting the support New Glarus provides through local scholarships, memorial awards, service organizations, families, businesses and community groups.

Senior Awards Night is one of the final major milestones before graduation, offering families, teachers and classmates a chance to recognize students not only for academic success, but also for leadership, service, athletics, technical skills and plans after high school.

For many students, the awards also help make the next step more attainable, whether that path leads to college, technical school, the military, an apprenticeship or the workforce.

The more than $101,000 awarded Wednesday night continues a strong local tradition of supporting New Glarus graduates as they prepare for life beyond high school.
