Green County crews installed ATV and UTV route signs yesterday in the Town of New Glarus, putting in place the signage needed for the new rules to take effect.

The sign installation was more than a routine public works task. In the Town of New Glarus, it represented the last visible step in a debate that drew intense public attention over recent months and split local opinion. The new ATV and UTV rules could not take effect until the signs were in place.
