Sugar River’s girls soccer team faced a difficult non-conference road test Friday, falling 3-0 to McFarland, the No. 5-ranked team in Division 3, despite seven saves from Savanna Minter.

MCFARLAND, Wis., — Sugar River (Belleville/New Glarus) ran into one of the state’s stronger Division 3 girls soccer teams Friday, falling 3-0 to McFarland in a non-conference match.

McFarland, currently ranked No. 5 in Division 3, scored late in the first half and added two second-half goals to hold off the Raiders.
