Sugar River Raiders Cruise Past Lakeside Lutheran 8-0
Sugar River scored four goals in each half Tuesday night in Lake Mills as the Raiders rolled past Lakeside Lutheran in a Capitol Conference girls soccer match shortened by the mercy rule.
The Sugar River Raiders continued their strong spring season Tuesday night with an 8-0 Capitol Conference victory over Lakeside Lutheran in Lake Mills.
Played under clear skies on a beautiful spring evening, the match ended in the 66th minute due to the mercy rule after Sugar River built an insurmountable lead.
The Raiders wasted little time getting on the board. Kate Parman opened the scoring at the 8:31 mark of the first half off an assist from Nikole Schultz. Just minutes later, Ella Woodmansee found the back of the net with an assist from Bailey McGuire to make it 2-0.
