Sugar River’s offense erupted for seven goals Tuesday night in New Glarus as the Raiders rolled past Cambridge-Deerfield-Waterloo in a Capitol Conference girls soccer match under warm and breezy spring conditions.
The Sugar River Raiders overwhelmed Cambridge-Deerfield-Waterloo 7-0 Tuesday night in a dominant Capitol Conference girls soccer performance at New Glarus High School, fueled by a hat trick from Kate Parman and a relentless offensive attack from start to finish.
The Raiders controlled possession early and never allowed CDW to settle into the match on a clear, breezy and warm evening that also served as Teacher Appreciation Night in New Glarus.
Sugar River struck quickly when Parman scored just 3:42 into the first half off an assist from Toria Devoe to give the Raiders an early advantage. Parman added another goal at the 10:31 mark as Sugar River continued to pressure the CDW defense.
