Town of New Glarus Board to Tackle Solar, Roads, Waste
The evening begins with the Town of New Glarus annual meeting at 6 p.m., followed by a Town Board agenda that includes solar panels, roads, garbage and recycling, elections and audit follow-up.
The Town of New Glarus will begin its evening of public business Tuesday, April 21, with the annual meeting of the electorate at 6 p.m. at the Town of New Glarus Garage, 200 Railroad St. The Town Board meeting will follow immediately afterward at the same location.
The annual meeting agenda is relatively brief but includes several notable items before the board meets. Residents are scheduled to review and approve the 2025 annual meeting minutes, hear a financial report presentation, receive updates regarding the Highway 39 property and new garage, and consider possible action on the location of the 2027 annual meeting, which is proposed for the third Tuesday of April at N8799 Hayes Lane.
The annual meeting agenda also notes that any town elector may raise issues from the floor, though motions and voting are limited to matters over which electors have authority under Wisconsin law. That means the evening starts not only with routine reports, but also with a public forum that could shape discussion before the board meeting begins.
