Fire and EMS reports are expected to draw attention as regional service shifts leave as a portion of the Town of Primrose among the last areas served by New Glarus Area EMS.

Town of Primrose Annual Meeting Puts EMS on the Agenda

The Town of Primrose will hold its annual town meeting Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, with a full agenda covering finances, operations, and public services.

One item expected to draw attention is the scheduled discussion of fire, EMS, and outreach reports, including updates from the Mount Horeb Fire Department, New Glarus Fire Department, and New Glarus Emergency Medical Service. In light of the formation of the Sugar River EMS District, which brings together New Glarus, Belleville, and several surrounding townships, the remaining coverage area of New Glarus Area EMS has narrowed. Portions of the Town of Primrose and Town of York now represent some of the last areas still served by New Glarus Area EMS.
