New Glarus 360 offers email updates for readers who want daily headlines, weekly community news, major breaking stories or specialized coverage. Learn what each newsletter includes and which options best match your interests and schedule.
New Glarus 360 offers several email newsletters and alerts designed for different interests and reading habits.
Some readers want a complete roundup of the day’s news. Others prefer a weekly newsletter, only the most important breaking stories or specialized coverage focused on business, alumni or students.
You may sign up for more than one email, and you can change your preferences later.
Daily Brief

The Daily Brief is our end-of-day news roundup.
It is sent daily around 6:00 p.m. and includes everything we published that day and a summary of what we plan to publish the following day.
This is the best choice for readers who want to stay fully informed without checking the website repeatedly.
Choose The Daily Brief if:
You want a dependable summary of each day’s New Glarus news.
You prefer to receive several recent stories in one email.
You want broad coverage rather than updates about only one subject.
Community Update

The Community Update is emailed at 5:30 a.m. every Thursday and provides a broader look at the week in New Glarus. Every back issue is also archived on our website for everyone to view regardless of their subscription.
This newsletter includes a brief summary of the biggest community news that week, a preview of stories New Glarus 360 is working on and information about things to do during that upcoming weekend.
Regular features also include the Photo of the Week and What You May Have Missed, which highlights past stories that may have flown under the radar when they were first published.
Another feature, Something We Noticed, calls attention to smaller developments that may not warrant a full article but are still important or noteworthy.
The Community Update may also include helpful information about using the New Glarus 360, managing subscriptions and getting the most from your membership.
Choose the Community Update if:
You want a weekly summary delivered early Thursday morning.
You are interested in what New Glarus 360 is working on next.
You want ideas for things to do during the weekend.
You enjoy photos, overlooked stories and smaller community observations.
You want occasional tips about using New Glarus 360.

Choose Breaking News if:

Which Emails Should I Choose?
Readers who want the most complete coverage should select the Daily Brief and Breaking News. The Daily Brief provides a broad daily roundup, while Breaking News alerts provide quicker notice when an especially important event occurs.
Readers who prefer fewer emails may want the Community Update along with Breaking News.
Alumni, business subscribers and students may also want to add the specialized newsletters when they become available.
Signing up for one newsletter does not prevent you from receiving another. You may select the combination that best fits your interests.
How to Change Your Email Preferences
Open a recent New Glarus 360 email and look for the email-preference or unsubscribe link near the bottom.
Follow that link to review the newsletters associated with your email address. You may be able to add or remove individual newsletters without unsubscribing from every New Glarus 360 email.
Be careful when selecting Unsubscribe from all emails. That option may remove you from newsletters and important account communications you still want to receive.
Newsletter Access and Paid Subscriptions
Some New Glarus 360 newsletters are available broadly, while others may be limited to paid subscribers, business subscribers, students or other eligible groups.
Receiving a free newsletter does not necessarily mean that your account includes access to locked articles. Likewise, changing your newsletter preferences does not normally cancel a paid subscription.
Your email preferences and your paid membership should be managed separately.
