Wisconsin Tornado Drill Set for Thursday

Wisconsin officials are urging residents to take part in the annual statewide tornado drill Thursday, April 16, with test warnings scheduled for 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The drill is part of Wisconsin Severe Weather Awareness Week and is intended to help people practice what to do before real storms arrive.

For people in New Glarus and across Green County, the drill is a reminder to review where to go during a tornado warning, how to receive weather alerts and whether family members, schools and workplaces have a plan in place.
