Belleville Area EMS Receives $20,000 Grant

Belleville Area EMS has received a $20,000 grant from Only in Wisconsin Giving to help improve emergency medical care in New Glarus, Belleville and surrounding rural communities as the agency prepares to become Sugar River EMS in June.

The grant will help the department purchase a new cardiac monitor defibrillator for a new ambulance expected to go into service this summer.

Only in Wisconsin Giving is the charitable giving arm of New Glarus Brewing Company. The organization has supported area first responders for years, including police, EMS and volunteer fire departments.
