Highway 69 Paving Pushed to Oct. 19

Drivers have a lighter construction week ahead on Highway 69, but the next major round is now slated for Oct. 19, when milling and paving between Monroe and Monticello are expected to bring flagging delays over several workdays this month.

Highway 69 remains open to traffic, but the next major construction impact has been pushed back one more week.

According to the latest weekly construction update from Jim Grender, P.E., of CGC, Inc., milling and paving from Monroe to Monticello is now anticipated to begin Monday, Oct. 19.

The work had previously been expected to begin during the week of Oct. 12. The updated schedule keeps the larger paving operation south of Wittenwyler Road on hold for another week, weather permitting.

North of Monticello, final pavement marking placement is expected to finish next week between Monticello and New Glarus. That work is also weather dependent and subject to adjustment.
