Highway 69 milling and paving between Monroe and Monticello is now expected to be finished by midweek, as crews turn their attention to shoulders, guardrails and pavement markings during the week of Oct. 26.

The latest schedule from project engineer Jim Grender calls for base aggregate shoulder work, guardrail installation beginning Monday, Oct. 26, and painting white edge lines along the southern portion of the highway.

All of those operations will use flaggers to control traffic, with delays expected throughout the workday. The schedule remains subject to weather and other adjustments.

The projected paving finish is another step toward wrapping up a project whose remaining work has moved later into the fall than earlier weekly schedules anticipated.
