Highway C Intersection Closing Monday in Monticello
A new phase of the Highway 69 reconstruction project begins June 1, bringing a full closure of the Highway C intersection in Monticello and reduced speeds through the village.
Drivers traveling through Monticello will encounter significant traffic changes beginning Monday, June 1, as construction activity shifts to the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway C.
According to information released ahead of the work, the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway C will close to east-west traffic as crews begin construction operations in the area. Highway C will be completely closed through the intersection, preventing motorists from crossing Highway 69 or accessing Highway C from the opposite side of the work zone.
At this stage of the project, only north-south traffic on Highway 69 will be permitted through the construction area.
