New Glarus residents may notice temporary discoloration in tap water as crews begin annual hydrant flushing and valve maintenance across the village starting May 11.
New Glarus residents may notice discolored water beginning Monday as the village starts its annual fire hydrant flushing and water main valve maintenance program.
According to Water Operator Rick Breault, crews will begin flushing hydrants and operating main line valves throughout the community on May 11 as part of routine maintenance of the municipal water system. Residents who experience rusty or cloudy water are encouraged to run their cold water tap until the water clears.
