Monticello-New Glarus Routs Pecatonica, 17-1
The Ponies broke the game open early Monday at Pecatonica, piling up 13 hits behind a big night from Molly Olson, Mabel Jordan and a balanced lineup.
BLANCHARDVILLE, Wis. — The Monticello-New Glarus varsity girls softball team rolled past Pecatonica 17-1 on Monday, scoring in every inning and finishing the game in four innings. The Ponies collected 13 hits and took control right away with a five-run first.
Monticello-New Glarus added two runs in the second, six more in the third and four in the fourth to overwhelm the Vikings. Pecatonica managed three hits and scored its only run in the third inning.
