Monticello-New Glarus’ Undefeated Season Ends vs. Barneveld

A matchup of two unbeaten teams lived up to its billing Monday night, even if Monticello-New Glarus came up just short in the end.

Both the Ponies and Barneveld entered the game undefeated overall and unbeaten in Six Rivers Conference play, giving the early-season contest added weight. Barneveld built a big lead in the opening two innings, then held off a late Monticello-New Glarus rally for a 7-6 victory in New Glarus.
