New Glarus Attorney Named Chair of State Labor Commission
New Glarus area resident Katy Meter Lounsbury has been elected chair of the Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review Commission (LIRC), a state body that reviews major workplace disputes involving unemployment, workers' compensation and civil rights cases.

Katy Meter Lounsbury of rural New Glarus has been named chairperson of the Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review Commission, a three-member state commission that reviews appeals involving unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation and equal rights cases.
The commission’s website now lists Lounsbury as chairperson and says she has practiced labor and employment law for 25 years, representing employers, employees, labor unions and the commission in a range of workplace-related cases.
