New Glarus Attorney Named Chair of State Labor Commission

Katy Meter Lounsbury, a New Glarus area resident and community volunteer, is now leading a Wisconsin commission that reviews major workplace appeals.

Katy Meter Lounsbury of rural New Glarus has been named chairperson of the Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review Commission, a three-member state commission that reviews appeals involving unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation and equal rights cases.

The commission’s website now lists Lounsbury as chairperson and says she has practiced labor and employment law for 25 years, representing employers, employees, labor unions and the commission in a range of workplace-related cases.
