New Glarus police are increasing seat belt enforcement and education during the statewide Click It or Ticket campaign, which runs through May 31.

The New Glarus Police Department is participating in this year’s Click It or Ticket seat belt safety campaign, joining law enforcement agencies across Wisconsin and the nation in reminding drivers and passengers to buckle up.

The campaign runs from May 18-31 and coincides with the Memorial Day holiday weekend, one of the first busy travel periods of the summer season.

New Glarus Police Chief Jeff Sturdevant said the department already has started its participation in the effort.
