New Glarus Surges Past Dodgeville Late to Advance in WIAA Tournament

New Glarus opened postseason play Tuesday night by doing exactly what matters most in February: survive and advance.

The New Glarus Glarner Knights, the No. 6 seed in Division 3, Sectional 2, shook off a sluggish first half and a tense stretch after intermission to defeat No. 11 Dodgeville 47-35 in the opening round of the WIAA girls basketball tournament inside the New Glarus High School gym.
