New Glarus Track Meet Postponed by Weather
The New Glarus High School track meet scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been postponed because of a forecast calling for severe thunderstorms, hail and the possibility of tornadoes across south central Wisconsin.
The New Glarus High School track meet scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at the Glarner Community Complex has been postponed because of the weather forecast, according to an email sent by New Glarus Athletic Director Mitchell Cernek.
Cernek said school officials decided to postpone the meet because severe thunderstorms, including the potential for hail and possible tornadoes, were forecast across south central Wisconsin for Tuesday afternoon and evening.
