There are baseball games that feel measured and orderly, and then there are games like this one, where everything seems to happen a little faster than expected. New Glarus brought that kind of energy to Monticello on Monday, turning an 11-6 win into something that looked restless, sharp and alive in every direction. Becky Degenhardt’s photos fit that kind of afternoon well, catching the Glarner Knights as they pushed, reacted and kept the game moving.

The numbers tell part of the story. New Glarus scored 11 runs, stole 12 bases and got a home run from Nolan Julseth, but the texture of the game lived in the in-between moments too — the dirt kicked up on a hard turn, the split-second look between pitches, the quiet reset before the next play began. It was that kind of performance, one built as much on pressure and rhythm as on any one swing.
