Ponies Blank Argyle 4-0 Behind Miller, Jordan
Monticello-New Glarus got a four-hit shutout from Malorie Miller and a three-hit day from Mabel Jordan on Friday, beating Argyle 4-0 at home with strong pitching, clean defense and timely offense.
Monticello-New Glarus rode a strong pitching performance from Malorie Miller and a big day at the plate from Mabel Jordan to a 4-0 varsity softball win over Argyle on Friday at home. The Ponies scored twice in the first inning, added another run in the fourth and tacked on one more in the sixth to complete the shutout.
The win moved the Ponies through another solid early-season test with a clean defensive effort and timely hitting. Monticello-New Glarus finished with five hits, four walks and no errors, while holding Argyle to four hits and two walks.
