A proposed $108,000 state grant for the Swiss Center of North America would help complete the original plan for the Glarner Community Complex in New Glarus by adding a plaza area and pavilion.
The funding is part of $50 million proposed for 71 community development projects across Wisconsin through the state’s Non-State Grant Program.
The grant still requires approval by the Wisconsin State Building Commission, which is scheduled to vote on the grants Wednesday, May 13. The commission is chaired by Gov. Tony Evers.
