Sugar River Blanks Mount Horeb in Non-Conference Test

The Sugar River Raiders girls soccer team turned in a complete performance Thursday night, shutting out Mount Horeb 3-0 in a non-conference match. Playing on their home field, the Raiders capitalized on early opportunities and backed it up with a steady defensive effort.
Sugar River struck first midway through the opening half when Kate Parman found the back of the net at the 15:04 mark, assisted by Nikole Schultz and Holly Maynard. The early goal set the tone, as the Raiders maintained pressure and controlled possession.
Ellie Brenkman extended the lead later in the half, converting a penalty kick at 24:16 to give Sugar River a 2-0 advantage heading into the break.
