Sugar River rallies with two quick first-half goals to knock off unbeaten Lodi in New Glarus, earning a statement win on home turf and moving to 2-0 in conference play.
Sugar River delivered a statement performance Tuesday night in New Glarus, scoring twice in a span of just over a minute late in the first half to defeat the Lodi Blue Devils 2-1 in a matchup of previously unbeaten conference teams.
Lodi struck first, getting on the board at 12:56 as Gracie Clary found the net to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead. For much of the opening half, the Blue Devils controlled the tempo, but Sugar River stayed composed and began to turn the tide as the half progressed.
